Giclées

Successful giclée editions are always the result of a close, collaborative effort between artist & printmaker.  The artist desires a reproduction that will be as close to the original artwork as possible & the printmaker must be invested in this outcome as well.  Certainly, the printmaker is skilled at photography & computer technology, but he or she must also have the eye of an artist in order to fine-tune the colors & values of the reproduction to match those of the original artwork.

Linda proudly offers her 5 museum-quality limited giclée editions.  Each is numbered & comes with a Certificate of Authenticity which attests to the fact that it was produced to archival standards.

Yes, this is the famous gargoyle decorating Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris.  Linda & her husband, Tom, climbed the stairs & shot a photo of it, which then became the basis for this painting.

Lotus 1

Paper:  11x15.5

Linda came upon this lotus plant at the Chicago Botanic Gardens.  The platter-sized leaves, the symmetry of the petals, the delightful shape of the pods…all were incredibly rewarding to capture with her pencil.

Lotus 3
Original medium:  graphite

Paper:  11x15.5
$125 unframed (plus shipping & handling)

This is the very same lotus blossom as in Lotus 1 but the challenge was completely different.  This time it was essential for Linda to capture the three-dimensionality of the flower:  The petals had to actually look like they were curling off the paper.

Pears

Linda found these luscious Bartlett pears at the local supermarket & wanted to immortalize them just because they were so lovely.  And, no, she didnt eat them afterwards….

This scene is from Indian Shores in Florida, near Tampa.  Linda was walking on the beach at sunset when she came upon these posts near the waters edge.  The verticality of the slightly mysterious posts contrasts nicely with the flatness of the horizon & water.
